Hello Friends,
I apologize for not posting a question last night. Ms Howie was very busy, I know that is not a very good excuse! I don't know about you kids, but I think this book is getting very interesting. Plus, there are still more secrets to be revealed.
I wanted to get some feedback from my wise students. Do you think General Washington is going to listen to Geordie or not? Why? Also, what do you think Geordie's dad would do if he found out what Geordie had done? Predict if you think his dad is going to find out. How might he find out? There are lots of quesitons tonight. You don't have to answer all of them.
If you have any questions about the book feel free to post them. I can answer them, or your very intelligent classmates can answer your questions.
I'm looking forward to finishing Chapter 8 with you tomorrow. It gets even more exciting!
Have a goodnight and see you tomorrow!

Don't worry if you think your blogs are too long or too short. I love reading them. Make them as long as you want. You kids are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI think General Washington is going to listen to Geordie and start beliveing him.I think Geordies dad will be mad at him because of what he did.I think his dad is going to find out because maybe General George Washington will tell him. Signed Sean MacWhorter :)
ReplyDeleteThese are my answers to the question:
ReplyDelete1. Do you think General Washington is going to listen to Geordie or not? Why?
***Since we already read to this part, I'll just answer it. I think Washington will listen to Geordie because the other guy who went with Gordie, how did the colonists know if he was a loyalist or a colonist. With Geordie, a kid doesn't often lie and he told that his brother Will is a colonist.
I will answer the rest on the comment below.
2.What do you think Geordie's dad would do if he found out what Geordie had done? Predict if you think his dad is going to find out. How might he find out?
ReplyDelete***I think if Geordie's dad finds out that he (maybe)saved the colonists from getting attacked, his dad would do what the did to Will. Ban his name forever. His dad would find out from a friend, the news, or it just appeared somewhere.

Ms. Howie,
ReplyDeleteCan you delete the follower: 26bentley/howie :)
It was me until I noticed you can't sign in with a yahoo email. So I created a gmail email which I am the follower: Michelle S.
If you can, thanks!
Yes, I do think General Washington will listen to Geordie because Washington will have a heart and care that Geordie's brother was in the mix somewhere and Washington might think "this fat child probably is lying and will only think that I'm going to listen to him." I think Geordie's dad would say to him, "why don't you listen to me because i'm your father and every child besides you and the rebels are not tories. So why do you have to be so different?!" I think Geordie's dad will find out.

ReplyDeleteI also think General Washington will listen to geordie because he is a nice caring person.i think Geordies dad will say to him "why do you have to be so different than the other kids!" if my dad did that to me i would say "i like myself just the way i am" and that night i would pack my stuff and run away from home. and come visit my mom and brothers. Also i do think Geordies dad will find out because if you keep a secret it wont stay a secret if you dont beieve me try it tell someone a secret and it wont remain a secret like becky today we were keeping a secret from her well our whole class and she found out with nobody telling her see!

ReplyDeleteI think Washingnton will beleive Goerdie beecause he still is a kid and why would any of them want to get worked up in that stuff anyways. I think that is why Washington will beleive Goerdie right in time to fight. I also beleive that Geordie's secret will let out to his dad because just like Jordan said, no one can keep a secret for long and espeshaly on a battle field!
General Washington will listen to Geordie! Sorry that I'm late again.
